Adapt Microsoft's Farmer.Chat model into Hindi, Telugu and Marathi to deliver climate-smart crop advice, real-time pest alerts and live market price data to smallholder farmers by SMS, WhatsApp and voice.
Who It Serves
10,000+ smallholder farmers (60% women), with a priority focus on Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh districts.
Key Activities
- Localise AI advisory models using Azure Cognitive Services in 3 regional languages
- Launch SMS + WhatsApp + voice chatbot with offline caching for low-connectivity areas
- Partner with Krishi Vigyan Kendras for field validation and agronomist oversight
- Run 20 community onboarding camps reaching 500 farmers each
- Track yield and income changes across two full crop seasons
